To comply with the new General Data Protection Regulations affective from 25th May, 2018 we have prepared
the following policy of our commitment to keeping our contact’s data safe and secure within the company:

Larkin Electrical Ltd is and electrical contractor based in Smeeth, Ashford Kent. The main business carried
out is to provide electrical services to local domestic and commercial customers, building contractors,
Universities and Local Authorities.

The data we collect has been given by the client during the initial enquiry or available on the public web and
is held to enable us to provide a competent and viable service and to comply with the legal requirements of
the Wiring Regulations in regard to warranty. This amounts to a client’s name, address, email, website if
applicable and phone numbers.

The data collected is held on internal computers within the premises and backed up on a secure back up
device.

From time to time we will make contact with previous customers and enquirers to inform on future re-testing
of portable appliances, electrical installations and to advise of electrical regulation changes.

Data is never passed to any third party and is used solely for providing a service to the customer.

Our computer system is protected against virus and malware by Microsoft.

If works are carried out and tested for the customer then certification of compliance must be issued as
required by the Wiring Regulations. This information must also be held on a computer generated certificate
for a minimum of 3 years and a maximum of 10 years.

We do not source or export any data to third party servers other than that required for the above certification
and Sage accounting databases as part of the cloud operating systems.

Where quotations have been produced any associated paperwork is kept in Locked filing cabinets within our
premises.
All our business is conducted within the UK.

Upon request any data held on an individual or company is available to be viewed and all details will be
provided in paper format within 2 weeks of the request.

We collect data as necessary to process your requests. This includes your name, phone number and address were applicable. We do not pass on any information to third parties.
You can ask us to delete all your information at any time.

4. Conclusion

All  terms are governed by English law. Any contract for the purchase of goods from Larkin Electrical  and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with any such contract will be governed by English law. You and we both agree that the courts of England and Wales will have non-exclusive jurisdiction. However, if you are a resident in Northern Ireland you may also bring proceedings in Northern Ireland, and if you are a resident in Scotland you may also bring proceedings in Scotland.
